English clubs have difficulty

Alex Keble takes an early look at the Champions League group stage draw, suggesting that all four English clubs will expect lớn todays soccer prediction - but Chelsea have the toughest opponents…

The draw for the group stage of the 2019/20 Champions League has been kind to all four English clubs. The vast majority of Europe's super-clubs - particularly those from Spain, Italy, and France - have all avoided facing any of England's top four, with the only exception Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich paired together in Group B.

The pick of the games will perhaps be Paris Saint-Germain against Real Madrid in Group A and Barcelona versus Borussia Dortmund in Group F, which incidentally is also the group of death. Antonio Conte's Inter Milan and Slavia Prague join them.

Tottenham face difficult Bayern test but can come out on top

Spurs - available lớn back at 30.00 in the Champions League Winner market - were drawn out of the pot early to face Niko Kovac's Bayern, a tie that is considerably less daunting than it was a couple of years ago. The German champions haven't looked convincing since Kovac took charge and struggled lớn replace stars Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery over the summer. Theirs is an ageing, lopsided team drawing on loan players Philippe Coutino and Ivan Perisic. Spurs are a good bet to win the group at around hai.00. You can prefer to the jackpot soccer tip page!

Even if Spurs don't finish above Bayern they should progress just fine. Olympiacos haven't made it through the group stages of the competition since 2013/14 and didn't even win the Greek league last season, playing three qualifying matches to make it this far. Red Star might be historically successful, but they won't trouble Spurs. What a relief it must be for Mauricio Pochettino lớn finally avoid the group of death.

Liverpool face Napoli again and should qualify

Last year, it took a nervous 1-0 win for Liverpool at home to Napoli lớn leapfrog the Italians and qualify for the second round of the Champions League, and so Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for a smoother ride this season. They also lost 1-0 in Naples, although this time - having been placed in pot 1 - the Reds aren't battling with Carlo Ancelotti's side for second place. Austrian champions RB Salzburg and Belgian side Genk have drawn short straws here.

This looks like a simple one-two for Liverpool to defend their crown) and Napoli , which makes their head-to-heads particularly tasty for neutrals. Only three of last season's eight group winners actually progressed to the quarter-finals, mind, and yet as current holders Liverpool will anticipate comfortably topping the group. Klopp will certainly be delighted to have avoided the likes of Dortmund, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Inter.

Man City handed another easy group

As will Pep Guardiola, who may worry about the tactical intelligence of Atalanta - a neutrals' favourite in Italy last year - but will otherwise sleep easy tonight knowing they face Shakhtar Donetsk for the second year running. Last season they beat the Ukrainian outfit 6-0 at home and 3-0 away, the latter praised by Guardiola as Man City's best performance since he joined the club.
